She has been a creative since an early age. While she loved her art classes in the Armenian Schools she attended around Los Angeles, the curriculum was never extensive. She took it upon herself to draw and paint in her spare time. At 18, she moved to San Francisco where she weaved the City's history, color palate, and appreciation for diversity into her artwork. In 2019, while she was working on a series of drawings, her house burned down along with all her belongings, including her sketchbooks and paintings. Most of the art you see today are no more than a few years old. She incorporates elements of nature, strength, survival, and community, all which gave her resiliency after the destruction of her home. The blast in Beirut and the conflict in Artsakh in 2020, motivated her to incorporate more ethnic themes, since she identifies not only with these communities, but the aftermath of having one's home destroyed. She learned to re-define her sense of home, and hopes that one day, her spiritual homes, will rise from the rubble and ashes and have a future filled with opportunities for creativity, no matter the medium.
